The world Environment day was duly celebrated on 5th June ,2017 . In keeping with the international theme ???Connecting people with nature in the city and on the land from the poles to the equator??? a half day workshop was held in the geology department of the MLSU. The chief Guest was Prof. R P Kachara Former VC , Nagaland University. The two invited speakers on the occasion were Dr. R K Garg , Director of the Indian Environment Society and Prof, Vinod Agraval, former HOD of the Geology Department, MLSU.
