The “Geoscientists Society of Rajasthan, Udaipur” organised a talk on the “World Environment Day” on 05th June, 2024 at Hotel Mukund Vilas Udaipur.
The program began with the welcome of Chief Guest Shri. K. P. Agarwal, speaker Shri Roshan Lal Shrimali and the members by Vice President of the Society Shri Shailendra Dashora, who also briefed about the day.
On the occasion Shri Roshan Lal Shrimali (Ex-Professor Rajasthan University & Ex- Dy. General Manager HZL) explained the importance of the World Environment Day and made a presentation on “Environment Changes: Reasons, Impacts & Remedies“; it was well appreciated and discussed by the members. Shri K P Agarwal told about the pollution by the waste created by marble industries and mines; he emphasized on more efforts required by the Government to stop this pollution.
The program ended with a sum-up and vote of thanks by Shri K. L. Jagetiya (Ex-General manager, ONGC)
