A Geological field excursion was organized by GSR to visit Jhamar kotra Rock Phosphate mine of m/s RSMML ON 16TH JULY ,2017 . Members have shown lot of interest in the visit . While Geology department of MLSU provided transport/ Bus facilities, RSMM extended full support on mine and plant visit besides undertaking Plantation , arranging working lunch etc. The support has been duly acknowledged .Glimpses of visit are reproduced as below:
RSMML (Phosphate Division) under the leadership of Mr SK Yadvendu, GGM, ably supported by several staff members at the Mines and perfectly co-ordinated by Mr Pradeep Kothari, Sr. Geologist, organized a well chalked out geo excursion programme at Jhamarkotra Mining complex for the participants
Following the activity presentation, a small plantation ceremony at the VT centre Lawn was organised at Jhamarkotra. Incidentally environment being one of the main charters of activities of GSR, this function constituted a very modest and symbolic effort to mark the compliance of the explicit objective of the Society towards environmental issues. Mr B.S Yadav, Mr Malloo, the two ever active member functionaries of GSR, Mr NK Khabiya Jt. Secretary and Mr Pradeep Bhatnagar, both in his capacity as a member of GSR and also as an extension of Jhamarkotra Entity lend credible support to render the function very successful
