The Geoscientists Society of Rajasthan in association with Department of Geology, MLSU, has prepared a program of a lecture series for PG students of the Department to get them acquainted with various Organisations like IBM, GSI, DMG, ONGC, Ground Water, HZL etc and Role of Geologist in these organisations.
First lecture of the GEOSCIENTISTS SOCIETY OF RAJASTHAN- LECTURE SERIES was held in the Geology Department, MLSU on 28.10.2023 at 11:15 am. During this lecture the President Sh Onkar Singh Siroya and Akhil kumar Dwivedi, Incharge Head of the Department graced the occasion. Sh Siroya while welcoming all the guests and students elaborated on importance of such lectures for the young geologists. Dr Dwivedi also reiterated that that such lectures should be held at a frequent intervals for the benefit of the students. Dr M K SOMANI presented the lecture on the subject ROLE OF GEOLOGIST IN INDIAN BUREAU OF MINES. The lecture was an interactive session, the participants took interestand raised quarries.
Sh R K Porwal Retired SgMG, IBM, Sh T S Ranawat Retired ADG, DMG, Sh Arun Maloo, Retired Suptdg Geologist, DMG, SH Niranjan Sahiwala Retired GSI, Vijay Prakash Sharma, Retired GSI, Sh Shabbir Hussain Retired GSI are the members of the society and Faculty members of the Department were also present on the occasion.
