Lecture by Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma:
GSR on 19.10.2024 arranged an interactive lecture on Geophysical investigations to explore nature and behavior of subsurface formations of Granite, marble, and other dimensional stones for blockcability study of the area with advanced scientific technologies by Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma in which he discussed about the latest technological developments in the field of hydrogeological and subsurface exploration through geophysical surveys. Sh. N K Kavadia summed up the lecture and presented vote of thanks for Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma. The Chief Guest Sh, B L Babel, presented a memento to Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma.
AGM:
Then AGM (2023-24) started as per agenda items circulated earlier:
1. Presentation of the report of activities of the society for the period 2023–24.
2. Presentation of the statement of accounts for the period 2023–24.
Dr. M K Somani gave a detailed account of the events organised by GSR during the year 2023-2024. It has organised 11 events during 2023 and 8 events upto the AGM in 2024. Ten new life members have joined the society during this period. He also briefed about the new project of finding out some sites of geological interest and promoting them through Tourism Department. He also requested members to pursue their batch mates and friends to join the society as members.
After that Sh B S Yadav , Treasurer presented the audited accounts for FY 2023-24. A copy of the accounts is already posted in the group. The entire event of Lecture and AGM was live on Facebook so that the members not in Udaipur or not in position to attend physically, can also be benefited. Sh BL Babel was the Chief Guest during this program. He blessed the team GSR for activities carried out.
In the end Sh. O S Siroya, President, thankfully acknowledged the presence of all the members and requested to join the programs of society in large numbers.
